A wonderfully evocative relational summary, Dana; the introduction relating your weekend on Hunter mountain was picturesque and set the stage well.

If you enjoyed learning about how the Disney magic was created by the Imagineers to make a little park appear to be a majestic fantasy land, you should check out the books

Building a Dream: The Art of Disney Architecture

and my personal favorite,

Designing Disney's Theme Parks: The Architecture of Reassurance (Hardcover) by Karal Ann Marling (Editor)

They will give you a lot of insights (with great color photos!) into how the imagineers used environmental psychology principles to create Walt Disney's personal EUTOPIA.

These books also provide great ideas for your midterm project in which you get to play Walt Disney (or Walter Gropius, or Le Corbusier, or Hausmann, or... or... )
